On 4th May 2017, I was honored to be elected as the Somerset County Councillor for Taunton North. I felt the County Council needed a younger voice to bring about positive change and fresh ideas. I campaigned on prominent local issues that really matter to the community of Taunton North, and over the next four years, I hope to prove that I can play a valuable role and be their champion within the Council.

Having spent my childhood in Taunton, it secured a place in my heart that guaranteed I could never live away from our county town for too long. Taunton is in my blood and I have many happy memories growing up here. At 18, I left for University to pursue my passion and train as an actor. Following my graduation, I relocated to London in 2010 to ‘tread the boards’ of the acting industry and worked on various projects within TV, Stage and Film including the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games.

It was during my time in London that I became active on the political scene and learnt the importance of community spirit. On my return to Taunton in 2015, I knew that I wanted to actively help my home town be the best possible county town it can be. I became a Voluntary Director at our local football club, Taunton Town, and it has been a pleasure to be part of an organisation that gives back to the community in many forms including charity work. Shortly after the election, I have been appointed to the position of Junior Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care.
